I am a Senior at Northern Illinois University, pursuing a major in Psychology and a minor in Family and Child Studies. My extra-curricular experiences at NIU include Research Rookies, the Undergraduate Research Assistantship program, Alternative Spring Break, and a University Honors Program student just to name a few! I enjoy the student life, but when not on campus I like to exercise, cook/bake, spend time at the pool, and hang out with my family! Lastly, I am a big Chicago sports fan (GO BLACKHAWKS!).

Patrick Price

Hey there, my name is Patrick Price, and my interests lie with how art, communication, and experience coalesce.  Appropriately, I am an Illustration major, and express narrative through a wide variety of visual media.  I also love learning and being in tune academically with the world around me.  I’m learning from the McKearn program that these two passions are not mutually exclusive, and that my journey will build stronger connections between the artist and scholar in me.

I received my A.S. from Waubonsee where I originally studied to be an electrical engineer. While there, a professor and good friend of mine helped me discover that I immensely enjoy learning about psychology. Currently, I am in my senior year at NIU where I am majoring in cognitive psychology and minoring in math. I also have two great mentors who continually support my new-found penchant for research. When I am not working hard at school, I enjoy a close relationship with my family.
